Dick's Sporting Goods has told AFA that "Christmas" will become a huge part of their advertising beginning November 28.

According to Vice-Chairman Bill Columbo, in a phone conference with AFA today, "We have made significant changes from past years, when 'holiday' was the dominant theme of our advertising." Mr. Columbo said shoppers will soon see something new from Dick's - "Christmas" in the company's television ads, newspaper inserts and on its website!

JPMorgan Chase represents the Grinch who stole Christmas

According to the Star-Telegram, a local Texas businessman had assembled and decorated a 9-foot-tall tree in the lobby of the Chase Bank Southlake Boulevard branch in Tarrant County as a favor to the manager, who is one of his clients.

The branch manager was quickly told by the bank that the tree had to go. She later showed the businessman an e-mail from JPMorgan Chase saying that the tree had to be removed because some people were offended by it.

Stated in an internal Chase documents the American Family Association has received, every bank has "received approved holiday decorations in your December One Box. These are the only (emphasis in original) decorations that may be displayed in the public areas of your branch. If you have any other decorations...please take them down."

Last month, The Home Depot gave a corporate boost to homosexual "marriage" by paying for its promotion during the 2010 Atlanta Gay Pride Festival.

The Home Depot paid to print thousands of colored brochures with a schedule and map of hundreds of gay pride activities and booths.

The brochure prominently featured the promotion for a gay marriage "Commitment Ceremony" at the event.

AFA took video at the ceremony and provides these photos as proof that The Home Depot advocates mocking traditional marriage as only between one man and one woman.

PepsiCo forms Chicago Gay Pride organization

According to PepsiCo representative Philene Frazar, PepsiCo is a founding member in establishing a homosexual activist group in Chicago.

Frazar, in a presentation during a 2009 homosexual advocacy conference, announced PepsiCo was instrumental in forming Chicago's "Citywide Pride" (see presentation slide here). The Citywide Pride website says it "strives to educate and empower the LGBT workforce and their allies."

Citywide Pride events listed for 2009 include:

- Seminar on how gays can successfully adopt children
- Same-sex marriage tutorials
- "Recruitment and engagement" techniques training
- "Family Pride" days (this one particularly hosted by PepsiCo)

In addition, Frazer noted that PepsiCo regularly recruits and invites employees from smaller companies to attend a variety of gay pride parades with them, saying:

"It really is a true celebration of the entire community when PepsiCo steps out to be part of a parade. In most of these cities, we are giving out a sampling of all our product lines, which are as diverse as Tropicana juice, all the way to Frito-Lay chips. We also hand out cups and banners and whistles. It's really a true corporate presence once we hit the parade route."

The Nashville Gay Pride website notes that Home Depot contributed more than $5,000 to help finance the 2009 festival. The retailer also participated by conducting children's craft workshops at a special booth set up for them. The company has sponsored similar children's venues at pro-homosexual events in Atlanta, Kansas City, Durham, Portland, and San Diego.

The National Education Association has thrown its full support behind homosexual "marriage."

The NEA recently held its annual convention in San Diego, California, where members voted on two issues of importance to those involved in the culture war. One of those issues was whether the union would support same-gender marriage. According to Jeralee Smith, co-founder of the Conservative Educators Caucus, the resolution passed by roughly a two-thirds majority.

"There are quite a few items where the NEA absolutely puts its political muscle behind taking down any legislation in any state that they consider to be discriminatory to homosexuals," says Smith. "And some of the language in the resolution also hints that the NEA will try to take down the Defense of Marriage Act [DOMA] on the federal level."

Smith told Baptist Press that when a representative of the Conservative Caucus spoke against the resolution and mentioned the words "marriage should be between a man and a woman," the speaker was booed.

Also up for a vote was a resolution for the NEA to take a "no position" stance on the issue of abortion. That proposal was voted down 61 percent to 39 percent.

During the meeting, the organization's retiring general counsel, Bob Chanin, complained that "conservative and right-wing bastards" are after the NEA and its state affiliates. Smith called that statement "refreshing honesty" on Chanin's part about how he feels about conservatives.

American Family Association asked PepsiCo to be neutral in the culture war and not support the homosexual
agenda. PepsiCo refused. The company continues to give financial support to homosexual organizations. PepsiCo
gave $500,000 to Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and another $500,000 to the Parents, Families and Friends of
Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG). The total of $1,000,000 was used to help promote homosexuality in the workplace.
HRC and PFLAG were major supporters of efforts to defeat Proposition 8 in California, which defined marriage as
being between a man and a woman. HRC gave $2.3 million to the effort to defeat Prop 8.
PepsiCo requires all employees to attend sexual orientation and gender identity diversity training where they are
taught to accept homosexuality.
PepsiCo helped sponsor the TV program Family Guy which pushs the homosexual agenda and denigrates Christ. In
one episode, at a straight meeting, a speaker talks with gays about Jesus and tells them, “Jesus Christ, who hates
many people, but none more than homosexuals.”
PepsiCo supports homosexual publications, which feature page after page of nude and semi-nude photos of men in
suggestive positions, with advertising.
PepsiCo gave thousands of dollars to join the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce, an organization
that lobbies for homosexual marriage.
PepsiCo sponsors “gay pride” parades across America, including New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Phoenix and Cleveland.
PepsiCo, while promoting the homosexual agenda, refuses to give one penny to help those trapped in this
destructive and unhealthy lifestyle.

Without a vote from shareholders, one of America's largest corporations has decided to grant its transgender employees special protected status.

Memphis-based FedEx has agreed to implement a shareholder resolution proposed by Huffington Post blogger Sara Whitman that would add "gender identity" to the company's non-discrimination policy. Whitman is a self-proclaimed "married lesbian mother of three boys" in Massachusetts.

When contacted about the personal donation of CEO Alan Stock, Cinemark issued a statement noting that the company had made no direct contribution to either side in the Prop 8 campaign, and that "it would be inappropriate for Cinemark to influence our employees' position on personal issues outside the work environment, especially on political, social, or religious activities."

Nonetheless, gay marriage activists continue to punish Cinemark and its employees because of the political and religious beliefs of the company's CEO. In just three days, activists recruited 1,000 boycott participants, and have now gathered nearly 30,000 Facebook members supporting the boycott.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's home district includes San Francisco .

Star-Kist Tuna's headquarters are in San Francisco, Pelosi's home district.

Star-Kist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi.

Star-Kist is the major employer in American Samoa employing 75% of the Samoan work force.

Paul Pelosi, Nancy's husband, owns $17 million dollars of Star-Kist stock.

In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25, Pelosi had American Samoa exempted from the increase so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage. This would make Del Monte products less expensive than their competition's.

Last week when the huge bailout bill was passed, Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill adding $33 million dollars for an 'economic development credit in American Samoa.

The University of Oklahoma has planned a yearlong "celebration" of the 200th birthday of Charles Darwin and the 150th anniversary of his controversial theory of evolution.

Based on planned activities, it will be a one-sided presentation by faculty members who plan to discount or ignore other theories including Intelligent Design or Creationism from the Bible.

Unlike Creationism, Darwinism will be portrayed as science rather than a religion.

"This is an evangelistic meeting," said Dr. G. Thomas Sharp said in an interview with the Tulsa Beacon. "There isn't any genuine science behind this. This will be like a big Sunday School class."

Sharp said Darwin's flawed theory of evolution has been embraced by narrow-minded secularists who want to teach students that God doesn't exist.

"The doctrine of Darwinian evolution gained the imagination of the college-set by the turn of the century, an event which ultimately culminated in the overthrow of America's Hebrew-Christian culture by 1962-63," Sharp wrote on his website, www.creationtruth.com. "From that time the moral decline in American society (church and all) is a sad matter of real history.

"As a Christian worker and professional educator for the past 40 years, I have been keenly aware that every aspect of life in America has been negatively influenced by the subtle and godless philosophy of evolutionism for some time."

Sharp founded the Creation Truth Foundation in Noble, Okla. in 1989 and is co-founder and president of the Museum of Earth History in Eureka Springs, Ark.

Darwin wrote the Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection in 1859 and set off a firestorm of controversy as he claimed that complicated life forms "evolved" from lower forms.

Man came from apes.

According to a press release from OU, study of Darwin's writings is vital so students and the public "can understand how new species have been and are being formed. Natural selection was Darwin's greatest contribution to science, and it remains a useful and substantiated explanation for the diverse array of life on Earth. However, because evolution by natural selection places humans firmly in the natural order, it continues to be politically controversial for those with strongly-held religious beliefs from a number of faiths."

Organizers think this will be the biggest celebration of Darwin's legacy in the world.

A "Darwinathon," with 12 straight hours of lectures on the "wisdom" of Darwin, is planned this spring.

OU is offering a "presidential dreamcourse" entitled "The Darwinian Revolution" in the spring semester. It is an introduction to the "history of evolution." Taught by Dr. Piers J. Hale of the Department of the History of Science "The Darwinian Revolution" will bring in experts from around the world to teach the class to enrolled students and to give evening public lectures hosted the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History.

The course, a part of the Darwin 2009 series of events at the University, commemorates the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Darwin and the 150th anniversary of Origin of the Species, in which Darwin first published his theory of evolution by natural selection in 1859.

The Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost at the university funds ten Presidential Dreamcourses each year for up to $20,000. Speaking of the Dreamcourse program, OU Provost Nancy Mergler said, "I am particularly interested in courses that cover important topics for concerned and engaged citizens in the 21st century."

Asked to describe the course, Hale said, "The Darwinian Revolution was a revolution in culture as well as biology. In this course students will consider the social, cultural and theological issues associated with the development of evolutionary biology from the early nineteenth century to the 'modern synthesis' of the 1930s and 40s.

"They will learn not only the history of the science of evolution, but will explore why it has had such a controversial history, including social Darwinism, eugenics and present-day arguments about teaching evolution in public schools."

On March 6, Britain's Richard Dawkins, author of The God Delusion, will give a free public talk at OU as part of the Darwin 2009 celebration. A biology professor at Oxford University, Dawkins recently sponsored a promotion on English bus billboards with a message, "There probably is no God. Now stop worrying. And enjoy your life."

"He is the No. 1 atheist in the world," Sharp said. "He is actually anti-theistic."

Even though OU is located in a strongly Christian state, organizers are praising Dawkins for attacking God and faith.

"Richard Dawkins is an eminent academic and writer who is an excellent and thought-provoking public speaker," said Barry Weaver, School of Geology and Geophysics. "It is an honor that he's coming to Norman and the OU campus because he is so highly regarded and so highly sought after as a speaker."

In The Purpose of Purpose talk, Dawkins will explore the significance of purpose in the natural world, and will argue that the appearance of purpose and true (sentient human) purpose are both products of the blind forces of natural selection.

Sharp said if the state of Oklahoma is going to fund a huge celebration for an atheist, it should start paying stipends to Oklahoma churches.

Sharp said his organization was recently in England filming scenes for a documentary on Darwin.

The Life and Legacy of Charles Darwin will be released in March.

Scientists, teachers and students who want the freedom to question Darwin are signing the Academic Freedom Petition (www.academicfreedompetition.com).

According to that website, teachers are "coming under increasing attack by self-appointed defenders of the theory of evolution who are waging a malicious campaign to demonize and blacklist anyone who disagrees with them."

The petition reads, ""We, the undersigned American citizens, urge the adoption of policies by our nation's academic institutions to ensure teacher and student academic freedom to discuss the scientific strengths and weaknesses of Darwinian evolution. Teachers should be protected from being fired, harassed, intimidated, or discriminated against for objectively presenting the scientific strengths and weaknesses of Darwinian theory. Students should be protected from being harassed, intimidated, or discriminated against for expressing their views about the scientific strengths and weaknesses of Darwinian theory in an appropriate manner."

More than 700 scientists - secular and Christian - have signed a petition denouncing the science of Darwin's theory of evolution.

Stephanopoulos is currently conducting private, daily

This is the height of irresponsible journalism and a clear
conflict of interest. How can Stephanopoulos participate
in daily briefings about the administration's strategy and
message and then be charged with reporting on them?

After urging every member of the MRC Action Team to call
ABC News and demand that he immediately recuse himself
from reporting on any issues involving the Obama Administration,
thousands of members took immediate action!

In fact, we've learned that ABC News switchboard
personnel were completely swamped, and couldn't keep up
with the heavy volume of angry calls.

This is a tremendous beginning, but until the matter
is resolved, and George Stephanopoulos recuses himself from further
reporting on the Obama administration, we want to increase the

(CNSNews.com) – Pepsi is running a new advertising campaign that keys into the upcoming inauguration – one that features a re-designed corporate logo that mimics the distinctive Obama “O” campaign logo, and refers to the president-elect as “the man who is about to refresh our nation.”

PepsiCo’s Web site -- RefreshEverything.com -- features an application allowing anyone to send a video message to the president-elect. The feature’s explanation reads, “Help us refresh America.”

“What you put in between [start and end] is up to you,” the explanation continues. “You can sing, dance, tell a joke—whatever reflects your hope and optimism for the future. Have fun with it. When your video is ready, upload it here. The best and most popular videos will be featured on this site.”

The corporate giant is running ads in multiple cities and locations, including in New York City’s Times Square and in Washington, D.C., on Metro buses and subway stations.

The ads feature single words or phrases such as “Optimism,” “Yes You Can,” “Together,” and “One for All.” The re-designed Pepsi logo replaces the “O’s” in the words on the ads, shares similarities to Obama’s presidential campaign logo.

Pepsi reportedly will also be distributing samples of its product on the streets of D.C. the weekend before the inauguration, as well as scarves, hats, and buttons that say “Hope” and “Change” – key Obama buzzwords from the campaign.

Pepsi-Cola North American Beverages spokeswoman Nicole Bradley told CNSNews.com that the campaign was officially launched on New Year's Eve.

“The start of the new year marks a fresh start, a 'refresh' for many people,” Bradley said. “We felt it was the ideal time to launch our ‘Refresh Everything’ campaign.”

But she admitted the inauguration does fit in with the company’s plans.

“The inauguration is a unique moment in time when people of all ages and backgrounds are rallying around a common sense of purpose,”
Bradley added.

“They are embracing change and hope. We believe the positive messages of our "Refresh Everything" campaign fit perfectly with the bipartisan spirit of optimism of this event.

Robert Knight, author and media analyst, said Pepsi’s advertising may just be trying to capitalize on the “honeymoon” that Obama is currently enjoying.

“I think, given the effectiveness of Obama’s message, Pepsi is merely getting aboard the bandwagon and trying to capitalize on the good feeling -- that a new era of optimism has arrived,” Knight told CNSNews.com.

“I don’t know that Pepsi is particularly interested in currying favor with the Obama administration, as much as it is conveying the notion that they’re on a winning team,” he added.

But Knight noted that Pepsi products are currently being boycotted by the conservative American Family Association because of the company’s donation of millions of dollars to homosexual pressure groups. Given the company’s stance, PepsiCo may be willing to flout those who didn’t vote for Obama, he added.

“If Pepsi is willing to buck a consumer boycott with a known base of millions of people, they’re probably willing to risk a backlash from Republicans who may decide to drink Coke instead,” he said. “But that would show a corporate arrogance that may come back to haunt them,” Knight added.

If history is any indication, Knight said, Pepsi may eventually join the ranks of companies that have reassessed their positions and adopted a neutral stance on controversial cultural issues, rather than face pressure from pro-family conservatives.
